‘Fargo’ stars John Goodman in new Netflix series

Fargo’s John Goodman and Kevin Spacey are set to star in a new Netflix original series that takes a look at a fictionalized version of the late-1960s Fargo movie.
The series, titled Prequel: The Life and Death of The Brothers Grimm, is set to premiere on October 1, 2019.
The first episode will be written by the film’s producer, David Lowery, and directed by the movie’s original star, James Franco.
The prequel will feature a cast of characters from the film, including co-star Josh Brolin.
The film is set in the 1970s.
The new series is the brainchild of Fargo creator Noah Hawley, who previously produced The Sopranos, The Wolf of Wall Street and The Wire.
Fargo stars David Cross as John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg as Fred, Andrew Scott as Sheriff Billy Stuarts, Noah Emmerich as the late Fargo co-creator Hank Stram, Joel Kinnaman as Billy, David Cross and Jennifer Carpenter as the main characters and Michael Stuyvesant as the Sheriff.

It’s expected to be a dramatic, gripping series with an ensemble cast, including the likes of Michael Che, James McAvoy, Sarah Wayne Callies, Joel Edgerton, J.K. Simmons and John Goodman himself.
The Prequel is produced by Fargo co, and Hawley is also producing with Fargo helmer Peter Berg.
