‘I love you’ for Trump: Michelle Obama says ‘love me’ for Republican rival

Michelle Obama and Donald Trump have become best friends after the former first lady gave her endorsement to the GOP nominee at her first campaign event.
She said in an interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd that she loved Trump for his ability to be “a human being, and to be able to stand up to bullies”.
“I love him for that,” she said.
“And he’s also a very funny guy.
I really like him.”
She said Trump had the ability to inspire people.
“I think that’s the most important thing that we can have,” she told Todd.
“He is someone who is really able to inspire us.”
The two women met during Obama’s time as first lady in 2009, and were photographed in 2009 at a campaign event together, but they had little public time together before Trump announced his candidacy in 2015.
They continued to talk over the years, and Obama said she was “very, very impressed” with the former First Lady’s political style.
“She is not just someone who looks at the news and goes, ‘I hate Trump.
I’m going to vote for Hillary,'” Obama said of Trump.
“That’s not me.
That’s not how I think.”
She added: “She’s also not just somebody who says, ‘This is the way I want to live my life.’
I know that I will.””
If that means supporting me, then I love you.
I know that I will.”
