I’m not the only one, as the realtor industry has seen an explosive growth of interest over the past decade and more.
This year, a whopping 7.7 million people were working in the space, which accounts for more than half of all listings and one of the fastest growing sectors in Australia.
The industry has also seen a massive growth in the number of graduates, with a total of 9,857,000 in 2016, with over a third coming from overseas.
Aspiring real estate agents and brokers are increasingly turning to real estate school, or RIT, as a way to learn the trade.
This month, the industry launched a new online course called RIT Prep to offer graduates an accelerated path to earn their first million.
“We have a real opportunity to provide a much-needed boost to the industry,” said RIT CEO Paul Bock.
“Students in our program will have the opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics that can help them to build their career, from real estate planning and sales to property valuation, asset management and portfolio management, all the way up to their full-time job.”
RIT’s RIT course, which offers a hands-on and hands-off approach, aims to teach real estate students the basics of the industry and the key areas to focus on in order to land the next big deal.
For those who can’t wait to get started, the course is available to enrol at any time and will cost just $3,965.
RIT has partnered with Real Estate Australia (REA), which offers both online and print classes to provide the most up-to-date information and resources on the industry.
For prospective graduates, the company is offering a number of different courses for a range of different types of clients, with one of these offering a more in-depth analysis of the current market and the future.
The realtor course will be offered on the RIT website, with each course available in two different formats: a self-study, which students can complete on their own, and a course for an in-person class, which is available in-house.
The course is open to students aged between 16 and 34, with most students expected to be employed in the field for five years or more.
A RIT spokesperson said the courses were designed for people with a “knowledge base and skills to successfully move up the career ladder”.
Students who take the online course will get access to an interactive map of all the areas of real estate in Australia and a resource guide to the various properties.
This allows the student to explore how real estate can help their career as well as gain valuable information.
“It will help you to understand how realtor prices and services are determined, how to navigate the market and what opportunities exist,” the spokesperson said.
“You’ll also learn about the industry’s key benefits, including the latest market trends, real estate market trends and opportunities for growth.”
This is the second RIT class, with the other one, Real Estate Fundamentals, taking place on the same day as the online RIT courses.
Both courses will be free to take, and the university will cover the cost of the two classes, as well.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to get people interested in real estate and to help them get started and keep them interested,” REA president and chief executive Peter Jones said.
Real estate school is also part of a growing trend in the country of online education.
Universities and universities across Australia have recently started offering online courses.
For instance, the University of New South Wales has started offering the Bachelor of Applied Science in Real Estate Management (BASM) in 2018.
This course covers a wide variety of topics in the area, including real estate, real property management, real-estate investment management, property taxation, property markets, realty law, and legal practice.
This online class is available for students from anywhere in Australia, including regional and remote areas.
“Real estate education is a very important part of the education system in NSW, and this is one of many opportunities for students to get hands- on experience in the profession,” Associate Professor Matthew McPherson, director of the School of Real Estate at the University, said.
“[It] will allow students to gain a solid foundation for their career and gain the confidence to take the next step in their life.”
“Students have the potential to build a successful career in real-time in real, competitive real estate,” Professor McPhersons research partner Dr John Meehan said.
The school has partnered up with the Real Estate Council of Australia to offer online courses for students and staff, as part of its National Real Estate School Programme.
“A lot of people get into real estate because they like to make a living
